She has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Penn State) and a master’s degree in engineering management (Rowan University).

From 2009 to 2021 she was an electrical engineer, and then subsequently the head engineer and system integrator, at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Cockpit Simulation Facility. From shells to gold, from ancient bills of exchange to central banks, and from the invention of the telegraph to the creation of Bitcoin, Broken Money examines how the introductions of new technology have shaped what we use as money over the ages.

Lyn’s work has been editorially featured or cited on the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, The New York Times, Business Insider, Marketwatch, Time’s Money Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Street, CNBC, US News and World Report, and other media.
